INNOVATION MANAGER
London, UK

Pritika is an Innovation Manager, her work blends systemic approaches to innovation to coaching ventures. She’s currently working on the Better Futures CoLab, leading the Oxygen CoLab’s ‘scaling commercially’ portfolio; delivering Enabel Innovation Hub’s portfolio of 21 ventures seeking to transition-to-scale and exploring ways to improve livelihoods across informality. She has just returned from two and a half years in Nairobi, Kenya where she was part of the team setting up Brink East Africa.
‍
Pritika has over 8 years of experience across innovation, research, climate change and international development. Before Brink, Pritika worked in International Climate Finance for the UK Government, working with decision-makers and Governments on the UK’s diplomatic relationship with Colombia and a portfolio of climate projects, as well as managing two climate investment vehicles operating predominantly in Africa.

She has a MSC in Global Prosperity, exploring transformative entrepreneurship, innovation theory and systems change perspectives - exploring in depth how new technologies and governance mechanisms such as blockchain can enable alternative economies.  She has subsequently contributed to research paper on Universal Basic Services a growing policy movement in the UK.

Pritika’s passion for venturing started in 2015 when she started a social enterprise called Vestability, which produced a circular economy solution for sustainable, low-cost life jackets to reduce drowning deaths in East Africa. Bumbling through lean start-up and human centred design approaches (and in hindsight doing everything in the wrong order), she learnt first hand all the challenges of setting up a venture within a development context, co-designing products with users and testing out MVPs in Madagascar with two fishing villages and learning the resilience required to champion an idea.

Questions
Pritika
is exploring in their work right now:

How do we support ventures towards financial sustainability as quickly as possible?

What mechanisms can we draw on to pull financing into public health systems?

How do we meaningfully engage with informality?
